Please follow the following steps to install MySQL WorkBench in Ubuntu

1) First download the required edition (Debinan Package) from – http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/workbench/

2) Then run the following command to install the downloaded Debian package

$ sudo dpkg -i /home/valuelabs/Downloads/mysql-workbench-community-6.2.4-1ubu1204-amd64.deb

Install gdebi if not installed by using
apt-get install gdebi-cor
